Xmax and Fs for the cabinet
A high-Xmax, low-Fs driver suits a compact vented box that has to reach 35 to 40 Hz; a lighter, higher-sensitivity driver suits a larger cabinet or a horn. Both are in the spec table on this page.
Power handling versus sensitivity
Doubling the AES rating buys 3 dB at the limit; 3 dB more sensitivity buys the same at every level. Compare both columns.
Neodymium for flown and portable subs
A neodymium 18-inch driver saves several kilograms per cabinet; ferrite is the usual choice for ground-stacked and installed subwoofers.
Voice coil diameter
100 mm and larger voice coils handle heat better in long shows; the datasheet AES rating is the two-hour continuous figure.

Standard catalog drivers have a minimum order quantity of 1 piece; custom and OEM MOQs are flexible, starting at 100 pieces, with quantity-tiered pricing; production lead time is 45 calendar days.
Tooling and NRE apply to custom developments that need dedicated tools. The range is wide: simple tools can cost as little as a few tens of dollars, while complex injection tools can exceed $50,000. NRE charges are refunded against placed production orders.
