Coaxial Loudspeaker Drivers
REDCATT coaxial drivers mount a compression driver on the axis of a woofer so that a two-way loudspeaker radiates from a single point. The result is a consistent polar response and a compact cabinet, which suits stage monitors, installed point-source loudspeakers, and multi-purpose PA. The range covers 4 models from 6 to 12 inches.

How to choose coaxial drivers
Size sets the bass and the pattern
A 12-inch coaxial driver gives more low-frequency output and a narrower pattern in the crossover region than an 8-inch; choose by cabinet size and intended coverage.
Separate LF and HF ratings
The two sections are rated separately. In the spec table on this page and on each product page, dual values are listed as LF / HF.
Crossover design
Because the two sections share an axis, the crossover can be designed without the off-axis lobing of a separate woofer and horn. A passive or active crossover at the recommended frequency is still required.
Monitor or install
Stage monitors favour high sensitivity and a robust HF section; installed point-source cabinets favour smooth response and a pattern that matches the room.
Typical applications
- Stage monitors
- Installed point-source loudspeakers
- Multi-purpose and portable PA
- Studio and reference monitors
- OEM loudspeaker programmes
Engineering data for every model
Full Thiele/Small parameters, frequency-response and impedance plots, datasheet PDF, 2D drawing and 3D STEP model on each product page, and the same data as JSON from the product API.
Custom coaxial drivers for OEM and ODM programmes
Every driver on this page can be adapted for an OEM programme at REDCATT's own factory in Dongguan: impedance, voice coil, cone or diaphragm, surround, motor and frame changes, or a new design built to a target specification. Standard catalog drivers have a minimum order quantity of 1 piece; custom and OEM MOQs are flexible, starting at 100 pieces, with quantity-tiered pricing; production lead time is 45 calendar days.
Tooling and NRE apply to custom developments that need dedicated tools. The range is wide: simple tools can cost as little as a few tens of dollars, while complex injection tools can exceed $50,000. NRE charges are refunded against placed production orders.
Quality and warranty
- - ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 certified quality system.
- - Every unit measured end-of-line; see the production consistency report.
- - Three-year limited warranty.
Coaxial questions
What is a coaxial loudspeaker driver?
A coaxial driver combines a low-frequency cone driver and a high-frequency compression driver on the same axis, so a two-way loudspeaker behaves as a single point source. REDCATT lists 4 coaxial drivers from 6 to 12 inches.
Do coaxial drivers need a crossover?
Yes. The LF and HF sections are brought out separately and require a passive or active crossover at the recommended frequency stated on the datasheet.
Which applications suit a coaxial driver?
Stage monitors, installed point-source cabinets, multi-purpose PA and reference monitors, where consistent off-axis response and a compact cabinet matter.
Can the coaxial drivers be customised?
Yes, through the OEM/ODM process, including the LF cone, HF diaphragm, impedance and magnet system, with an MOQ that is flexible, starting at 100 pieces, with quantity-tiered pricing.
