Professional Tweeters & Dome HF Drivers
REDCATT tweeters are direct-radiating high-frequency drivers for column loudspeakers, installed and commercial sound, studio and hi-fi grade monitors and OEM products where a compression driver on a horn is not wanted. The range covers 11 models including silk, aluminium and titanium dome tweeters and an air-motion transformer (AMT), in neodymium (8) and ferrite (3) designs.

How to choose professional tweeters
Dome material
Silk and other soft domes are smooth and forgiving; aluminium and titanium domes extend response and output but demand careful crossover work. Materials are listed in the spec table on this page.
Crossover frequency and power
Small tweeters need a steep high-pass at 2.5 kHz or above; larger domes with ferrofluid and a chamber can be crossed lower. The AES rating assumes the recommended high-pass filter.
Dispersion
A 1-inch dome disperses widely to well above 10 kHz, which suits columns and installed sound where coverage matters more than raw output.
Compression driver or tweeter?
For high-output PA on a horn, see the compression drivers. For columns, ceiling and wall speakers and hi-fi grade monitors, a dome tweeter is usually the better fit.
Typical applications
- Column and installed-sound loudspeakers
- Studio and hi-fi grade monitors
- Commercial and background music systems
- OEM bookshelf and multimedia loudspeakers

Custom professional tweeters for OEM and ODM programmes
Every driver on this page can be adapted for an OEM programme at REDCATT's own factory in Dongguan: impedance, voice coil, cone or diaphragm, surround, motor and frame changes, or a new design built to a target specification. Standard catalog drivers have a minimum order quantity of 1 piece; custom and OEM MOQs are flexible, starting at 100 pieces, with quantity-tiered pricing; production lead time is 45 calendar days.
Tooling and NRE apply to custom developments that need dedicated tools. The range is wide: simple tools can cost as little as a few tens of dollars, while complex injection tools can exceed $50,000. NRE charges are refunded against placed production orders.
Quality and warranty
- - ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 certified quality system.
- - Every unit measured end-of-line; see the production consistency report.
- - Three-year limited warranty.
Tweeters questions
What dome materials does REDCATT offer?
Silk, aluminium and titanium domes, plus an air-motion transformer. The material of each of the 11 models is shown in the spec table.
Are the tweeters suitable for professional use?
Yes. They are used in column loudspeakers, installed sound and OEM systems where a direct-radiating high-frequency driver is preferred; for horn-loaded PA cabinets REDCATT offers compression drivers.
What crossover point is recommended?
The recommended minimum crossover frequency is stated on each datasheet, typically 2.5 kHz and above for 1-inch domes with a 12 dB/octave or steeper filter.
Can the tweeters be customised?
Yes, including dome material, faceplate, impedance and terminal options, through the OEM/ODM process with an MOQ that is flexible, starting at 100 pieces, with quantity-tiered pricing.
