Full-Range Loudspeaker Drivers
REDCATT full-range drivers are wideband transducers that cover the bass, midrange and treble from a single cone, for column loudspeakers, ceiling and wall speakers, commercial background-music systems, portable and multimedia products and hi-fi grade designs. The range covers 16 models from 2 to 8 inches, with sensitivity up to 93 dB, in neodymium (8) and ferrite (8) designs.

REDCATT full-range drivers
Filter the full catalogA full-range driver uses a light cone, often with a whizzer or a treated dust cap, and a low-inductance voice coil to reach the top octaves without a separate tweeter. Frequency-response and impedance plots and the complete Thiele/Small set are published for every model.

How to choose full-range drivers
Bandwidth versus bass
Smaller full-range drivers extend further at the top; larger ones give more bass and output. In a column or an array, several small full-range drivers give both.
Sensitivity and impedance for distributed systems
Installed and commercial systems often run 16 Ω drivers in series-parallel or on 70 V / 100 V lines through a transformer; check the impedance column in the spec table on this page.
Use the T/S data
Fs, Qts and Vas are published for every model, so a sealed or vented enclosure can be simulated exactly as for a woofer.
Add a tweeter if needed
Where the top octave matters more than simplicity, pair a full-range driver with one of the dome tweeters as a two-way.
Typical applications
- Column and line-source loudspeakers
- Ceiling, wall and pendant installed speakers
- Commercial and background-music systems
- Portable, multimedia and OEM loudspeakers
- Hi-fi grade single-driver designs
Engineering data for every model
Full Thiele/Small parameters, frequency-response and impedance plots, datasheet PDF, 2D drawing and 3D STEP model on each product page, and the same data as JSON from the product API.
Independently tested full-range drivers
1 of the 16 drivers on this page have been measured or reviewed by independent publications. Metadata and links only; REDCATT does not publish ratings it did not earn. See all coverage on the reviews page.
Custom full-range drivers for OEM and ODM programmes
Every driver on this page can be adapted for an OEM programme at REDCATT's own factory in Dongguan: impedance, voice coil, cone or diaphragm, surround, motor and frame changes, or a new design built to a target specification. Standard catalog drivers have a minimum order quantity of 1 piece; custom and OEM MOQs are flexible, starting at 100 pieces, with quantity-tiered pricing; production lead time is 45 calendar days.
Tooling and NRE apply to custom developments that need dedicated tools. The range is wide: simple tools can cost as little as a few tens of dollars, while complex injection tools can exceed $50,000. NRE charges are refunded against placed production orders.
Quality and warranty
- - ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 certified quality system.
- - Every unit measured end-of-line; see the production consistency report.
- - Three-year limited warranty.
Full-Range questions
What sizes of full-range driver are available?
The full-range drivers run from 2 to 8 inches; all 16 models are listed on this page with sensitivity, power and impedance.
Do the full-range drivers need a tweeter?
Not necessarily. They are designed to cover the audible band on their own; a dome tweeter can be added where extended top-octave response or higher output is required.
Are they suitable for 100 V line systems?
Yes, with a suitable line transformer. Nominal impedance for each model is listed in the spec table.
Can a full-range driver be customised for an OEM product?
Yes. Cone, whizzer, magnet, impedance and frame can all be adapted through the OEM/ODM process with an MOQ that is flexible, starting at 100 pieces, with quantity-tiered pricing.
